

Pastor of New Hope Kids
The Pastor of New Hope Kids will lead all the New Hope Kids Sunday morning ministries including Nursery, Kids Church and Registration at all present and future locations. They will direct the mission, vision and curriculum of NHKids and oversee and care for the volunteer leaders of these ministries providing coaching and empowering them to grow and strengthen their teams.
Responsibilities
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the New Hope Kids (NHKids) Sunday morning ministries, which includes Nursery, Kids Church and Registration, at all locations. Set the vision for where the teams need to be in the future and teach and coach the volunteer leaders towards those goals.
- Oversee and ensure the execution, facilitation and organization by volunteer ministry leaders of all New Hope Kids Sunday programs.
- Lead the implementation and development of the NHK curriculum, along with the Family Pastor.
- Coordinate with volunteer ministry leaders to recruit, onboard and retain volunteers to ensure the ministries are able to function in a sustainable and healthy way, positioned for growth.
- Coordinate with volunteer ministry leaders as they develop, build, and equip their teams. Provide specific in situ coaching and training for those in teaching roles.
- Coordinate with volunteer ministry leaders to care for the physical ministry spaces and supplies
- Provide discipleship and pastoral care for volunteer leaders.
- Every Staff member at New Hope Church creates and submits a yearly soul care plan that ensures overall spiritual health. This includes: 1 week of professional development, 1 week of prayer, and vacation weeks. We also provide paid counselling, coaching, and study resources.
Team Responsibilities

- Support and work in cooperation with other ministries to maximize opportunities across ministry areas. Communicate and collaborate with all areas of ministry for maximum efficiency and cohesion (ex. Worship department oversees Kids’ Worship).
- Promote, support, and contribute to the overall church ministry by assisting with other churchwide projects such as Day Camp, SummerFest, NatFest, Sunday with Santa, Giving Initiatives, Christmas, Egg Hunt, and Easter.
- Attend team leader meetings, ministry leader meetings and other staff called meetings.
- 2+ years of experience in Family Ministry required, experience in teaching and school settings also and asset.
- Experience with recruiting training and developing leaders.
- Post-Secondary Education: Bible College or Seminary preferred, BEd and/or OCT also an asset.

Equipping Department Administrator
The Equipping Department Administrator will support the Equipping Ministries of New Hope Church by recruiting, training and managing teams of volunteers to meet their administrative needs. This person will also oversee and manage the database of New Hope Church to support all areas of ministry. This role will report to the Manager of Administration and work alongside the other department Administrators to achieve collaboration and quality control over all processes and communication.
Responsibilities

- Recruit and train teams of volunteers to support the administrative needs of the Equipping ministries. Including;
- Designing and producing curriculum and programming materials
- Facilitating connection with newly registered families by ministry leaders and ensuring complete registration information
- Facilitate communication with participants and families through social media, email, text and phone
- Ensuring leaders have the data and information about their participants to support their pastoral care
- Assist in the coordination of pastoral care needs for all of those within the equipping ministry
- Onboarding volunteers and ensuring all child protection/clearance requirements are met.
- Oversee New Hope Church’s Database (ie. Data in Planning Centre) and provide effective reporting for ministry leaders.
- Optimize existing data and create new systems for improved data collection.
- Coordinate with the administrative team to assist in weekday reception needs.

Equipping Ministries Support Intern
The Equipping Ministries Support Intern will assist the equipping team in supporting their volunteers to lead and implement NHKids, Jr Youth and Sr Youth, in particular being the primary staff support person for the Prep Team.
Responsibilities
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support and direction to the Prep Team that serves during the day as they prepare for and clean up evening activities
- Assist the Directors of Jr., Sr. Youth and NHKids in preparation of teaching and curriculum materials.
- Assist the Directors of Jr & Sr Youth in logistical preparation for coach, leader and other meetings.
- Assist the Directors in recruiting and onboarding new team members, day-time prep teams, in particular.
- Be the First-In-Last-Out team member at one of the Jr Youth and one of the Sr Youth locations
- Work with the Directors, the Life Group Coaches and Site-Leaders to provide for the Life Group and Activity leaders’ logistical needs during Youth nights.
- Coordinate with the Cobalt Crew Leader on Youth nights to ensure that the buildings are reset for the next event and properly cleaned and locked.
- Assist the Equipping Team Administrator with ensuring all records of Police Checks, Plan to Protect Certificates and Team Handbooks are properly digitized and filed.

Day Camp Manager
New Hope Day Camp runs for one week, August 17th-21st, 9:00-3:30 for campers. August 15th-August 23rd is ‘Missions Week’ for New Hope Church, where the whole church is called to volunteer their time to provide a safe place for children to get to know Jesus, learn to love Jesus and start to serve Jesus. The program has included over 800 campers and 500 volunteer staff. This is the 20th year of Day Camp, and our program has always been volunteer-led. The role of the Summer Intern Team is to support and recruit volunteers in their leadership roles, not to replace them. This year's camp will take place at three different multi-site locations to accommodate a larger number of campers and our building construction (tentatively at New Hope Church First Street, Club Roma, and New Hope Church West). The sites will be linked to connect and compete with each other in various games and competitions.

- Full Time from Monday, June 25th to Thursday, August 28th
- 35 hours/week on average.
- July 26th and 29th, and August 17th-21st and “Day Camp Launch Sunday” date: TBD
- Only 1 Sunday may be booked off between June 25th and Aug 24th
- Part-time from Monday, May 19th to Sunday, June 24th
- Contract Term: Monday, May 19th, 2026, to Thursday, August 28th
- Reports To: Camp Director
- Hours and Expectations: see above
- Compensation: $17.60/hour
- Pension/Benefits: N/A
- Vacation: 1 Week Unpaid vacation during July/August
- Flexibility Clause: During your employment, your direct supervisor may request that you undertake other duties and responsibilities which reasonably pertain to your job description.
- Variation Clause: New Hope Church periodically examines and updates job descriptions to ensure they relate to the job performed. Your direct supervisor and you will review your job description. Any new responsibilities and priorities will be mutually agreed upon. New Hope Church reserves the right to make reasonable changes to this job description.
